Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League player of the season.
This is the second time he has won this award. The 32-year-old Egyptian previously won it in the 2017-18 season.
The award is decided by public votes and a panel of experts. Salah led Liverpool to the Premier League title this season.
He faced competition from teammates Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch. Gravenberch was named young player of the season.
Gravenberch, 23, leads all midfielders with 59 interceptions. He also ranks top among Liverpool players for winning possession.
Other nominees for player of the season included Declan Rice, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Chris Wood.
This marks the first time since 2018-19 that a Manchester City player did not win.
The young player shortlist included Liam Delap, Anthony Elanga, Dean Huijsen, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers, and William Saliba.
Before Sunday’s final game against Crystal Palace, Salah had scored 28 league goals. This is five more than any other player this season.
He also provided 18 assists—six more than anyone else—and is two off Thierry Henry's record of 20 assists.
Salah became the highest-scoring overseas player in Premier League history this season. He surpassed Sergio Aguero's total of 184 goals.
Additionally, he signed a new two-year contract to stay at Anfield until 2027.
This month, Salah was named Football Writers' Association footballer of the year for the third time. He received over 90% of the votes.
