Eddie Nketiah expressed his disappointment after Crystal Palace's 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in the EFL Cup, which saw them eliminated.
Nketiah, who scored against his former club, acknowledged the close nature of the game and praised his teammates for their efforts.
He remained optimistic, focusing on their upcoming league match against Arsenal at Selhurst Park.
Palace initially led through Jean-Philippe Mateta’s goal but Arsenal responded strongly, with Gabriel Jesus scoring a hat-trick. Nketiah’s late header reduced the deficit, but it wasn't enough to secure a comeback.
Nketiah has scored two goals and provided two assists since joining Crystal Palace from Arsenal in the summer.
