Former Ghana international Charles Sampson has been appointed as the new head coach of Ghana's U-20 female team, the Black Princesses, replacing Yussif Basigi, who managed the team during the last FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
The 44-year-old Sampson, previously an assistant coach for the Black Queens, began his coaching career with Assyriska United Girls U15 before managing Swedish Women's League side Telge United FC.
Alongside him, Fiifi Parker Hanson, head coach of Golden Kicks, joins as an assistant, while Anita Wiredu continues in her current role as the other assistant coach for the team. Sampson’s appointment marks the beginning of a new era for the Black Princesses.
