New Edubiase United owner Abdul Salam Yakubu has called for the inclusion of Karim Zito in the Black Stars' coaching setup, citing his vast experience in Ghanaian football.
Zito, currently the head coach of Dreams FC and Ghana’s U-19 team, has managed top clubs like Medeama SC and Asante Kotoko.
He notably led the Black Satellites to victory in the 2020 WAFU tournament, though they missed the U-20 World Cup due to COVID-19.
Yakubu expressed surprise at Zito’s exclusion from the senior national team, arguing that his experience, including Dreams FC’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign, makes him a strong candidate.
He also questioned why Desmond Ofei was preferred over Zito, insisting the veteran coach deserves a chance with the Black Stars.
