Nations FC Brands Manager Calls for Charwetey's Inclusion in Black Stars
Kennedy Boakye Ansah, the Brands Manager of Nations FC, has made a strong statement. He believes it would be a mistake if Faisal Charwetey is not called up to the Black Stars. The national team will compete in the Unity Cup from May 27 to May 31 in England. They will face Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Nigeria.
Several key players may miss this tournament. Notable absences include Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, and Antoine Semenyo. This opens the door for new players to join the squad.
In an interview with Citi Sports, Ansah praised Charwetey’s performance at Nations FC. He highlighted that Charwetey has scored 11 goals this season. “It would be extremely suicidal if he doesn’t get a chance,” he said.
Ansah expressed his belief that Charwetey deserves a spot on the team. He acknowledged he might not know Coach Otto Addo's thoughts but insisted on fairness grounds that Charwetey should be included.
Charwetey has recorded 11 goals and one assist in 27 league matches this season.
