Asante Kotoko's head coach, Karim Zito, shared his team's tactics. They won 1-0 against Berekum Chelsea in the MTN FA Cup semifinals.
Albert Amoah scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute. This victory secured Kotoko's place in the final.
Zito attributed their success to careful planning and execution. He said, "With the FA Cup, you don't have two options." Their plan was to win before 90 minutes. Zito wanted to avoid penalties if possible.
He took a cautious approach, focusing on defense while seeking chances to score. "I was very cautious at the back," he noted. This strategy proved effective for Kotoko.
Now, Kotoko will face Division One side Golden Kick in the final. The match is scheduled for June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium. Zito and his team aim for their historic 10th FA Cup title.
