Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku faces a six-month absence after sustaining an ACL injury during Ghana's AFCON 2025 qualifier against Angola.

The 20-year-old, a key player for Leicester City, returned to his club for treatment following the injury.

Issahaku underwent successful surgery and expressed gratitude on Instagram, saying, "All glory be to Almighty Allah. My surgery was successful, and I just want to tell you that I am okay. Thank you for your best wishes."

The injury is a significant setback for both Leicester City and the Black Stars. Issahaku, a former Sporting CP player, had been instrumental for the Foxes since last season and was expected to excel this year. Both club and country now await his recovery and return to form.
