Felix Gyan returns to Black Stars after two years absence

Felix Afena-Gyan has been recalled to the Ghana national team. He will play in the 2025 Unity Cup in London. This marks his return to the Black Stars after nearly two years.

Head coach Otto Addo named him in a 23-man squad. The squad also includes Abdul Samed Salis from Sunderland and Majeed Ashimeru from Anderlecht.

Afena-Gyan had a strong season with Juventus Next Gen. He scored 10 goals and impressed enough to train with the senior team. His performance has caught the attention of national selectors.

The Unity Cup features teams from Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago. Ghana will face Nigeria on Wednesday, May 28, at GTech Community Stadium in West London.

The winner will advance to the final on Saturday, May 31. This tournament is important for Ghana's preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali later this year.
