Phil Foden acknowledged Manchester City's struggles against Brentford, admitting they failed to "cope with the physicality" in a 2-2 draw after leading 2-0.
Foden's brace had City in control until Brentford mounted a late comeback, with Yoane Wissa pulling one back and Christian Norgaard equalizing in stoppage time. "We just looked tired at the end... we didn't cope with the physicality," Foden told TNT Sports.
Despite the setback, he was positive, noting City's improved performances after a tough spell. Brentford’s manager, Thomas Frank, praised his team for their resilience: "Coming back from 2-0 down is a fantastic mentality," he said, reflecting on their impressive ability to challenge top teams like City.
