Augustine Sefah, a former defender for Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold, has regrets. He wishes he had played for the Black Stars. He is also disappointed about not having opportunities abroad.
The 34-year-old has not announced his retirement yet. He has played for several clubs in Ghana, including Medeama, Ashantigold, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and Nations FC. Despite being a key player domestically, he never played outside Ghana.
In an interview with Bryt FM in Koforidua, Sefah expressed his feelings. He said it was always his dream to play for the Black Stars and have an international career.
“I had the chance to play for big clubs like Medeama and Kotoko,” he stated. “I’m well known in the league but I have two regrets. It hurts that I never played for the Black Stars or abroad.”
Sefah hopes to reach new heights in his coaching career. He aims to balance these regrets from his playing days.
