Former Ghana Black Stars player Samuel Inkoom has been granted bail of GH¢100,000 with two sureties after being accused of visa fraud.
The court, presided by Susana Eduful, also required each surety to have a monthly income of at least GH¢5,000 and for Inkoom to deposit a passport-sized photograph with the court registry. Inkoom allegedly took $4,000 from Elizabeth Atarime Mboh Awuni under the false pretext of securing a U.S. visa.
However, he failed to deliver and went into hiding, prompting the victims to report him. Inkoom admitted receiving the money but failed to provide evidence of a partner in the U.S. The case will resume on 22 January 2025.
