Former Ghana League Clubs Association chairman Kudjoe Fianoo has called for the dismissal of Alex Kotey, the Referees Manager at the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Kotey accused former GFA Vice President George Afriyie of attempting to bribe him during a match involving All Blacks and Asante Kotoko.
He claimed Afriyie visited his house with a friend and offered him money, which he refused. However, after Afriyie threatened legal action, Kotey retracted and apologized.
Fianoo criticized Kotey’s inconsistent statements, arguing that they damage the GFA's credibility.
He urged the association to remove Kotey from his position, stating that such contradictions harm Ghanaian football.
