Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante scored again as Coventry City secured a 2-0 away win against Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship.

Thomas-Asante, now with two goals in two games, helped Frank Lampard's side claim victory at Ewood Park.

Ellis Simms opened the scoring for Coventry four minutes before halftime, and Thomas-Asante doubled the lead three minutes into the second half, assisted by Simms.

Despite Blackburn's dominance in the first half, Coventry’s clinical finishing proved decisive.

Thomas-Asante was substituted in the 69th minute for midfielder Josh Eccles. The win moved Coventry to 13th on the Championship table after consecutive victories over Blackburn and Bristol City.

The 26-year-old now has five goals and an assist in 31 appearances during the 2024-2025 season.
