The Ghana Premier League could resume soon after being suspended due to violence during the Nsoatreman vs. Asante Kotoko match, which led to the death of Kotoko fan Nana Pooley.

GFA Executive Council member Fredrick Acheampong stated that meetings with club representatives resulted in plans to restart the league, pending further discussions with supporters' leadership and match commissioners.

If no additional issues arise, the competition could resume the following weekend.

However, Asante Kotoko has suspended all football activities and insists they will not return until justice is served.

Meanwhile, six suspects, including Nsoatreman FC owner Ignatius Baffour Awuah, have been arrested in connection with the incident. The GFA continues to work on security measures to prevent further violence.
