Frimpong Manso, coach of Bibiani GoldStars, has been appointed the new head coach of Ghana's U17 national team, the Black Starlets, following the departure of Laryea Kingston during Africa U17 Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Manso, who previously coached the team from 2009 to 2010 and served as an assistant coach, is tasked with preparing the team to qualify for the next tournament after the current squad failed to qualify this year.
Manso’s coaching career includes stints with Asante Kotoko, Stade d'Abidjan, Karela United, B.A. United, and others.
The Black Starlets have not qualified for the Africa U17 Championship since 2017, when they finished as runners-up.
