Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) is thrilled to announce a new partnership. They are teaming up with Futurestars Charity to support young children. The focus is on education and sports.
Both organizations have signed an agreement. They will provide scholarships, mentorship, and sports opportunities for underprivileged children in Ghana.
Students who play rugby league with RLFG will benefit from this partnership. Those in Futurestars Charity partner schools will also receive support. This includes financial help, learning materials, and guidance for school and sports growth.
A special highlight of this partnership is John Boyd. He has been selected as the first student to receive a scholarship through rugby league. His passion for learning and sports makes him an ideal choice.
Simon Militon, director of Futurestars Charity, expressed his excitement:
“At Futurestars Charity, we believe education and sports go hand in hand. This partnership with RLFG helps children reach their full potential in school and on the field. We are happy to support John Boyd and many more children.”
Futurestars Charity will cover school fees, uniforms, books, and meals for students. Meanwhile, RLFG will train and mentor them in rugby league.
John Boyd’s mother, Victoria Boye, shared her joy:
“This is a dream come true for my son. I always wanted him to do well in school but faced challenges. Now he can continue his education while playing the sport he loves. I am grateful to Futurestars Charity and RLFG for this chance.”
Jafaru Awudu Mustapha, RLFG general manager, added:
“We are happy to work with Futurestars Charity to help young rugby players. This partnership ensures talented children get the education they deserve while growing in the sport.”
The two organizations will monitor student progress closely. They aim to provide the best support possible. This partnership marks a significant step toward helping young children build better futures through education and sports.
