GFA Exco Member Frederick Acheampong reacts after losing parliamentary race

Fredrick Asare, Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association and former Ashantigold CEO, expressed gratitude to supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ahafo Ano South East Constituency despite losing the parliamentary race.

Asare, who had high hopes, was defeated by Yakubu Mohammed of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by over 1,000 votes in the December 7, 2024 elections.

Asare thanked voters, his campaign team, family, and supporters for their efforts, acknowledging their contributions to his campaign. He highlighted efforts to improve local infrastructure, job opportunities, and education in the constituency.

Despite his loss, Asare remains optimistic and pledged to continue serving his community. He will now refocus on football administration, stating, "God’s time is the best."
