The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has fined and suspended Elmina Sharks President, Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum, for misconduct during an Access Bank Division One League match against Swedru All Blacks on February 16, 2025.
Dr. Ndoum has been fined GH₵10,000 ($644.75) and handed a three-month suspension for interfering with the game, inciting players against match officials, and making social media comments that provoked violence and hatred towards referees.
The match, which saw multiple stoppages—including a 27-minute delay—was marred by clashes involving players and fans. Following the game, Dr. Ndoum took to Facebook to criticize the GFA, describing its actions as "clueless" and "ridiculous."
His suspension means he will be barred from all football-related activities during the period.
