GFA hands over pickups from FIFA Forward Programme to RFAs

Eight Regional Football Associations (RFAs) received Nissan Navarra pickups today. This is part of the FIFA Forward programme. The initiative aims to strengthen football development in the country.

The regions benefiting from this support are:
- Brong Ahafo Regional FA
- Upper West Regional FA
- Central Regional FA
- Western Regional FA
- Eastern Regional FA
- Upper East Regional FA
- Volta Regional FA
- Ashanti Regional FA

These vehicles will help with daily administrative and operational tasks for the RFAs. This move aligns with the GFA’s vision to decentralize football development. It empowers regional bodies with necessary tools for effective functioning.

The Greater Accra and Northern Regional FAs will also receive vehicles later. This is part of a future FIFA Forward program.

President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku supports infrastructural upgrades in Ghana football. He believes these vehicles will improve efficiency and accessibility in the regions.

This initiative highlights the GFA’s commitment to using international support programs effectively. It aims to promote grassroots football across all areas of the country.

The President was accompanied by the Executive Council and Mr. Abraham Amaliba, Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA).
