GFA is not responsible for making Black Stars budget public - Henry Asante Twum

Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), stated that it is the responsibility of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, not the GFA, to make the Black Stars' budget public.

His comments follow President John Dramani Mahama's directive during the State of the Nation Address on February 27, 2025, instructing the Sports Minister to ensure transparency regarding the national team's budget.

Mahama emphasized that taxpayers' money should not be secretive. However, Asante Twum clarified that the GFA submits the budget, but the Ministry is responsible for its public disclosure.

The Black Stars will regroup next month for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers after a poor 2024 performance.
