Former Ghana international Augustine Ahinful has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to clarify Stephen Appiah's role as Vice Chairman of the newly formed Black Stars Management Committee.
The committee was announced after the Mark Addo-led group was dissolved following Ghana's failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON.
Appiah, celebrated for leading Ghana to its first World Cup in 2006, will focus on player relations.
However, Ahinful believes the GFA must better define this role, emphasizing that player relations traditionally involve regular interactions between players and the coach.
The committee, chaired by Dr. Randy Abbey, includes Samuel Aboabire and Moses Armah, tasked with operations and matchday logistics, and Richard Nsenkyire, responsible for special duties. Ahinful praised Appiah’s appointment but urged more role transparency.
