Ghana’s Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, has called for a complete overhaul of the country’s football system, urging the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to recognize the urgency of a reset.
During a visit to Asante Kotoko’s management, he addressed Ghana’s football decline, highlighted by the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for AFCON 2023—their first absence in 21 years.
Adams emphasized the government's commitment to revitalizing sports, aligning with the NDC administration’s broader reset agenda.
He also revealed that Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II voiced concerns over Ghana’s declining football performance.
Adams assured that the government would take necessary steps to revive the sector and restore the country’s footballing prestige.
