Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara has called for unity within Ghana’s football community following the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana, finishing bottom of Group F with just three points, missed AFCON for the first time in 21 years, sparking widespread disappointment.
Daara attributed the team’s struggles to divisions within the football family, including grievances among players, media, and GFA members.
He urged the association to prioritize reconciliation, form a cohesive management committee, and foster unity to build a stronger future for Ghanaian football.
The GFA has apologized for the team’s poor performance and pledged to make necessary changes to revitalize the national team and restore its competitive edge.
