GFAF Wraps Up 10-Day Coaching Clinic for 16 Regional PE and Sports Coordinators

The Ghana Federation of American Football (GFAF) has completed its 10-day National Coaching Clinic. The event took place at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium from May 12 to May 23, 2025.

Sixteen regional Physical Education Coordinators attended the clinic. They received training in flag football rules, skill development, and game strategies. Participants learned about tactical defense and offense, among other important topics.

President Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah spoke to the media about the Federation's vision. He said they aim to benefit the country, youth, coaches, and schools. He praised the coaches for their hard work over the ten days.

Mr. Michael Ntow Ayerh, National Director of Physical Education and Sports at GES, supported the initiative. He called it timely and aligned with their goal of diverse sports opportunities for students.

Participant Ben Blay-Essien from Ashanti Region praised the instructors' enthusiasm. He noted that their energy helped everyone learn quickly and feel ready to promote flag football back home.

The GFAF plans more clinics and competitions with support from US-based coaches and players. This is part of their mission to develop flag football at the grassroots level in Ghana.

Participants received certificates, balls, and flags for developmental use during the closing ceremony. Notable attendees included GFAF President Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and National Director Michael Ntow Ayerh.
