The GH Dolphins are the champions of the 2025 Ghana Swimming Association President's Cup. They won an impressive 62 medals at the event on Saturday. This competition took place at the Borteyman Sports Complex.
The Dolphins earned 37 gold, 14 silver, and 11 bronze medals. They finished ahead of last year's champions, Marlins, who secured second place with 32 medals. GH Aquatic Masters came in third with a total of 24 medals.
The Dolphins also achieved individual honors at the event. Boris Ushinskii was named Best Male Swimmer after winning four gold medals. Mercedes Abdallah received the Best Female Swimmer award for her five golds and one silver.
GSA President Delphina Quaye expressed satisfaction with the event's success. She noted that interest in swimming is growing among kids. More parents are enrolling their children in swimming lessons, leading to positive results.
As clubs prepare for next year’s competition, the 2026 edition promises even more excitement and fierce rivalry in the pool.
