GPL 2024/205: Bechem United held to goalless draw by Basake Holy Stars

Bechem United's hopes of winning were dashed. They drew 0-0 with Basake Holy Stars at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

This result does not help Bechem's quest for a top-four finish. They lost 2-1 to FC Samartex 1996 in their last match.

Bechem has only two wins in their last ten league games. Their record is W2, D2, L6. They are now one point behind 7th placed Samartex with few games left.

Despite these struggles, Bechem United is among the league’s top-scoring teams. They have scored 30 goals but conceded 26 in 32 matches.

On Sunday, they could not turn their chances into goals. This was despite playing at a strong home venue.

The draw means they miss the chance for their 12th home win this season.

Basake Holy Stars dropped to 16th place on the table with 35 points. They remain in the relegation zone but played well against Bechem.

The debutants have earned eight points from their last six games (W2, D2, L2). They continue to show determination as they aim to stay in the league.

So far this season, they have scored 30 goals and conceded 34.
