Asante Kotoko won 3-2 against Medeama SC at Baba Yara Stadium. This match was part of Week 33 in the Ghana Premier League. Albert Amoah played a key role in the victory.
Kotoko had previously drawn 0-0 with GoldStars. They needed this win to keep their title hopes alive. However, they fell behind early in the game.
Kingsley Braye scored for Medeama just five minutes in. He beat Camara Mohammed to give his team the lead.
In the 23rd minute, Albert Amoah equalized with a penalty kick. He then scored again with a powerful header in the 40th minute, putting Kotoko ahead.
Manuel Mantey equalized for Medeama in the 67th minute. But Amoah secured the win for Kotoko with another fine header.
Despite this victory, Kotoko trails leaders Nations FC by two points. They will face Vision FC in their final match of the season.
Medeama is currently fifth on the table and will play Berekum Chelsea next.
