Asante Kotoko finished fifth in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League. They lost 3-1 to Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
The match started slowly, with few chances for either team. In the 38th minute, Kotoko's Emmanuel Antwi scored first. His left-footed shot deflected into the bottom left corner.
Edmond Asante equalized for Vision FC in the 40th minute. He scored from close range after coming off the bench.
Frank Duku then put Vision ahead in the 81st minute. He added another goal in injury time, sealing a win for his team. This defeat marked Kotoko's first loss under coach Karim Zito.
Kotoko will play in the FA Cup final on June 15 against Golden Kicks. They hope to end their season on a positive note.
Vision FC finished their season in 11th place with 45 points. This was their first attempt in the top-flight league.
