GPL 2024/25: Berekum Chelsea edge Heart of Lions to end losing streak

Berekum Chelsea bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Heart of Lions at the Golden City Park on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

Zakaria Fuseini’s 17th-minute header from a set-piece proved the difference, as Chelsea held on to secure all three points and end a run of successive defeats.

Despite creating several chances, particularly in the second half, Heart of Lions were unable to breach a resilient Chelsea defense.

The win lifted Berekum Chelsea to 10th place on the table with 34 points, just six points behind fourth-place Medeama SC as they aim to finish strong in the season’s final stretch.

In contrast, Heart of Lions dropped to fifth after a third consecutive match without a win, jeopardizing their pursuit of a top-four finish.
