Heart of Lions missed a chance to close the gap on leaders Asante Kotoko. They played to a 1-1 draw in the Ghana Premier League at Kpando Sports Stadium.
The hosts dominated the first half and created several opportunities. Kotoko's goalkeeper, Frederick Asare, made a crucial save from Nana Oppong's shot. This kept the scoreline goalless.
Against the run of play, Kotoko scored just before halftime. Justice Blay struck with a stunning goal.
However, Lions equalised just two minutes into the second half. Ali Fawzi scored with a header.
Both teams had chances to win. Albert Amoah created an opportunity but missed the target. Kwesi Pong also tried an audacious shot that went over the bar.
Kotoko remains at the top of the league with 46 points. They will face Bechem United next.
Lions stay in third place with 41 points. They will play against Berekum Chelsea next.
