GPL 2024/25: Heart of Lions keep slim title hopes alive with win over Bechem

Heart of Lions won 2-1 against Bechem United at Kpando Sports Stadium. This victory keeps their Ghana Premier League title hopes alive.

Kwesi Pong scored the first goal in the 22nd minute. Seedorf Asante added a second goal in the 66th minute. This gave Heart of Lions a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Bechem United fought back late in the game. N. Z. Traore scored in the 90+5 minute, making it 2-1. Despite this, Heart of Lions held on for the win.

With this victory, Heart of Lions earned 3 points, bringing their total to 57 points. They remain in 4th place in the league standings.

Bechem United's loss still moved them up to 9th place with 44 points. They are now tied on points with Aduana Stars, who are in 10th place.
