Nations FC climbed to the top of the Ghana Premier League. They achieved this with a strong 4–1 win over Legon Cities. The match took place at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Ampoful opened the scoring midway through the first half. He capitalized on a loose ball and scored from close range.

Just before halftime, Legon Cities equalized. Rabin Ousmane Sanon accidentally scored an own goal, leveling the match.

In the second half, Nations FC stepped up their game. Emmanuel Annor restored their lead in the 64th minute with a precise finish after a good passing move. Sadiq Alhassan then made it 3–1 with a powerful shot from outside the box.

Ampoful completed the scoring late in the match. This victory secured Nations FC's position at the top of the league as they approach the end of the season.

For Legon Cities, this loss was devastating. It confirmed their relegation from Ghana’s top flight football league.
