Kwame Opoku scored a great goal for Asante Kotoko. This helped them beat Aduana FC. The victory ended Kotoko's four-game winless streak in the Ghana Premier League.
Opoku started a one-two pass with Baba Yahaya. He finished with a low drive, beating goalkeeper Massawudu Inusah at the near post.
Later, Opoku had another chance after a one-two with Fernando. However, he failed to bend the ball into the far corner.
Kotoko's goalkeeper, Camara Mohammed, made important saves to keep the score level. Eventually, Kotoko secured three points and gave new coach Karim Zito a winning start.
Kotoko remains in fourth place on the table with 50 points. They aim to finish the season strong and compete for the title.
Aduana FC is currently in 11th place with 38 points.
Next, Kotoko will face Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash. Aduana will play against Berekum Chelsea.
