Samuel Tenadu's deflected strike led Asante Kotoko to victory over Basake Holy Stars. This win puts Kotoko at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
Tenadu fired a low shot from about 25 yards. The ball took a deflection and found the net within the first quarter of the game.
Holy Stars maintained possession with smooth passing. However, Kotoko appeared more threatening and could have scored more goals.
Dauda Saaka attempted to double the lead but was ruled offside. Kwame Opoku also had chances, but his powerful shot went just over the crossbar. Emmanuel Antwi hit the post during this match.
Kotoko now has 42 points and sits at the top of the table. Holy Stars are in 14th place with 24 points.
Next, Kotoko will face Berekum Chelsea. Holy Stars will travel to play against Medeama.
