Bibiani Gold Stars head coach Frimpong Manso believes his team can still win the Ghana Premier League title for 2024-2025. This comes after a surprising 2-0 loss to Vision FC.
The match took place at Nii Adjei-Kraku Stadium. Edward Agyemang and Edmond Asante scored for Vision FC in the 56th and 86th minutes. Vision FC's coach, Nana Agyemang, said the win “meant the world” to his team.
Despite this defeat, Gold Stars remain at the top of the league standings with 53 points. However, their lead has shrunk to just one point over second-place Nations FC.
Manso expressed confidence after the game. He noted, “We have four games left, three of them at home. Even for the away game, we’ll fight for something. We’re still on course to win the league.”
Gold Stars will face Karela United, who are ranked 16th, on May 4 in Bibiani.
