Gabriel Jesus scored a second-half hat trick to lead Arsenal to a 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals.
Palace took an early lead in the 4th minute through Jean-Philippe Mateta, who capitalized on a defensive mistake. However, Arsenal dominated after the break, with Jesus equalizing in the 54th minute, finishing off a brilliant pass from Martin Ødegaard.
He put Arsenal ahead with a goal in the 73rd minute, assisted by Bukayo Saka, and completed his hat trick in the 81st minute, finishing another Ødegaard pass. Former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah pulled one back for Palace in the 85th minute, but it wasn’t enough.
Arsenal advanced to the semifinals, with Jesus' performance earning praise from manager Mikel Arteta.
