Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju: Nigerian boxer mysteriously dies in action in Ghana

Ghana's boxing community is in shock.

Nigerian boxer Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju has died in the ring.

He was fighting Ghana’s Jon Mbanugu at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The match took place on Saturday, March 30, 2025.

Olanrewaju collapsed against the ropes in the third round.

He lost his balance and could not be revived.

Emergency services took him to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
