Galatasaray Make First Bid for Osimhen Replacement

Galatasaray has made an initial bid of €17 million plus add-ons to Lyon for striker Georges Mikautadze, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Mikautadze, 24, joined Lyon this summer following a successful Euro 2024, where he scored three goals in four matches, leading to an €18.5 million transfer from Metz.

Despite Galatasaray's offer, Lyon values him higher and is seeking more. Initially, Galatasaray targeted Victor Osimhen, but his €75 million release clause at Napoli proved too expensive.

The bid for Mikautadze is part of Galatasaray's efforts to strengthen their attack after Mauro Icardi's ACL injury, which has sidelined him for the rest of the season.
