Galatasaray sign Morata on loan from AC Milan

Alvaro Morata has joined Galatasaray on a 12-month loan from AC Milan, with an €8 million purchase option.

Milan will receive a €6 million loan fee, and Morata will earn a guaranteed salary of €3 million for the second half of the 2024-25 season and another €3 million for the first half of 2025-26. Morata, Spain's 32-year-old captain, joined Milan from Atletico Madrid last year for €13 million. He has scored five goals in 13 Serie A starts this season.

Now, he will help Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig title race, with the club leading Fenerbahce by three points. If Galatasaray wants to make the move permanent, they must do so by January 2026 for €8 million.
