Former Black Stars assistant coach George Boateng has criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for poor decision-making following the 2023 AFCON.
Boateng, who remained on the technical team after Otto Addo’s departure post-2022 World Cup, was dismissed when the GFA disbanded the staff after Ghana’s disappointing AFCON campaign.
Otto Addo was later reinstated but failed to qualify Ghana for the 2025 AFCON, marking the team's first absence in 20 years.
Boateng stressed the need for continuity in team management, urging a proper analysis of mistakes rather than abrupt changes.
The former Aston Villa U-23 coach also confirmed his interest in a head coaching role, amid links to Blackburn Rovers.
The Black Stars now shift focus to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
