Frimpong Manso is the head coach of Bibiani Gold Stars Football Club. He believes an extended break will help his team. They are preparing for a big game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
This match is part of the Ghana Premier League. It will take place on Sunday, May 25, at Dun’s Park in Bibiani. The game starts at 15:00 GMT. Gold Stars are currently ranked second, while Kotoko is fourth.
Gold Stars trail league leaders Nations FC by just one point. They won their last match by default against Nsoatreman FC, who withdrew from the league. Manso feels that extra preparation time is beneficial for this weekend's clash.
“We’ve had enough preparation,” he said. “Last weekend, we didn’t play due to the Nsoatreman situation.” He added that they worked hard during that time and have focused on many aspects this week.
Regarding the upcoming game, Manso stated, “If you want to become a champion, it doesn’t matter the opposition.” He emphasized the need to fight and win the game. “That is what we should do; we should try and win,” he concluded.
