Ghana Federation of American Football officially Incorporated

American football is gaining official ground in Ghana as the Ghana Federation of American Football (GFAF) secures incorporation under the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.

Led by NFL linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, GFAF plans to launch the sport nationwide with a focus on infrastructure, talent development, and community engagement.

The federation aims to introduce American football in all 16 regions, distribute kits to schools, and integrate it into inter-school competitions.

A national league is also in the works to foster competitive play and boost sportsmanship.

GFAF's long-term vision is to position Ghana as a rising force in global American football, empowering youth and enhancing the country’s sports diversity.

With government backing, the federation’s bold initiative marks a major step toward reshaping Ghana’s sports landscape.
