Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago will compete for The Unity Trophy in London this May as part of “The Best in the West – The Afro Classico Contest.”
The semi-finals begin on May 27 with a historic TriniJam clash between Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica. On May 28, Ghana’s Black Stars will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a classic West African rivalry.
The tournament concludes on May 31 with a third-place match and the final.
Nigeria, a two-time champion, enters as a favorite, but Ghana has previously beaten them 4-1 in London.
Organized by AfroSport, this event blends sports and culture, celebrating African and Caribbean football heritage. Co-Director Andy Howes emphasized its growing significance within the English football community.
