Haruna Iddrisu, owner of Karela United and Ghana's Education Minister, criticized the state of football in the country during a parliamentary session on February 4.
He highlighted poor officiating in the Ghana Premier League and the violent clashes between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko as major concerns. Iddrisu expressed frustration, stating that Ghanaian football is in poor shape, with the league suffering from low viewership.
He also expressed support for Kofi Adams, the Sports Minister nominee, affirming his confidence that Adams would effectively develop sports in Ghana and make President John Dramani Mahama proud in the role.
