The Ghana Schools U15 boys secured third place in the WAFU B African Schools Football Championship with a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso on November 23, 2024, in Niamey, Niger.
Cyril Acquah Hagan scored the decisive penalty. Ghana had previously drawn 1-1 with Burkina Faso and beat Niger 5-0, but their title hopes ended with a 1-0 loss to Cote d'Ivoire in the semi-final.
Hagan was awarded the Goal King Award for scoring three goals in the tournament.
WAFU B President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku presented the team with bronze medals. Cote d'Ivoire triumphed as champions and earned a spot in the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals.
