Ghana captain Andre Ayew scores again as Le Havre fall to Lens comeback

Andre Ayew scored his second goal of the season for Le Havre in a 2-1 loss to RC Lens at Stade Océane.

The Ghanaian captain gave Le Havre an early lead in the 9th minute, capitalizing on a rebound from Hervé Koffi’s save. Despite his early strike, Le Havre struggled to extend their advantage, with Yoann Salmier missing a key chance. Lens equalized before halftime through debutant Goduine Koyalipou's header and dominated the second half.

Deiver Machado’s 77th-minute goal sealed the win for Lens. Ayew's performance, though bright, couldn’t prevent Le Havre's sixth consecutive defeat, leaving them four points from safety. While Ayew’s sharpness offers hope, Le Havre faces a tough battle for survival in Ligue 1.
