Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey picks MOTM award in win over Chelsea

Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey delivered a stellar performance as Brighton secured a 2-1 win over Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup, earning him the Man of the Match award.

Playing in an advanced role, Lamptey was instrumental in the Seagulls' comeback after Chelsea took an early lead through a Bart Verbruggen own goal. Goals from Georginio Rutter and Kaoru Mitoma sealed Brighton’s victory.

The 24-year-old impressed with his pace, work rate, and defensive contributions, winning the most tackles and duels while completing the most dribbles. With three goals and two assists in 14 matches this season, Lamptey remains a key asset for Brighton.
