Ghana ends the 2024 football calendar ranked 77th in the FIFA World Rankings, maintaining 14th place in Africa.
The Black Stars dropped four spots in November after a disappointing conclusion to their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign, where they failed to win a match.
Ghana won only three of 15 matches in 2024, with two official victories. The year also marked their first failure to qualify for AFCON in 20 years. Ghana’s highest FIFA ranking in 2024 was 67th in February, and they now sit behind continental rivals like Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt.
Argentina remains at the top of the FIFA rankings, with France, Spain, and England rounding out the top four. Ghana’s next challenge is the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March 2025.
