Ghana forward Inaki Williams features in Athletic Club’s 2-1 victory against Real Madrid

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams played a pivotal role as Athletic Club defeated Real Madrid 2-1 in a La Liga clash at Estadio San Mames on Wednesday.

The match remained goalless in the first half despite a disallowed Real Madrid goal from Kylian Mbappe due to VAR intervention. Athletic Club took the lead in the 53rd minute through Alex Berenguer.

Real Madrid missed a penalty in the 68th minute, with Mbappe failing to convert. Jude Bellingham equalized for the visitors in the 78th minute, but Gorka Guruzeta secured the win for Athletic Club with a late goal.

Both Inaki and Nico Williams played the full 90 minutes for the victors. Inaki has tallied three goals and four assists in 15 league appearances this season.
