Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Salis Samed made a brief appearance for Sunderland in their 2-0 victory over Luton Town in the English Championship.
Samed was named in the matchday squad but only entered the game in the 86th minute, replacing Wilson Isidor.
By then, Sunderland had already secured their lead with goals from Enzo Le Fee and Isidor.
The win moves Sunderland to fourth place in the Championship, strengthening their chances of Premier League promotion.
Samed will hope for more playing time in future matches to boost his chances of making Ghana’s squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar next month.
